There are few people in this world who have the right mindset to ride giant waves for the thrill of it and local big wave surfer, Rob Fowlie is one of them.
Hailing from Cornwall, Rob’s on a mission to surf the biggest wave on the planet and we at Mango’s want to support him and share his journey with you guys along the way.
Rob has been training extensively not only in preparation for the next season at Nazare, but also for entering the intense world of free-diving!
His passion for big wave riding and shear determination to eliminate the fears associated with such a quest is inspiring, not just to other surfers, but for those looking to overcome obstacles within mental health as well.
Some interesting facts about Rob:
He’s a twin, has an unhealthy obsession with Tunnack’s Caramel Wafer Biscuits (who doesn’t right?) and grew up breaking horses in the middle of nowhere.
For anyone who has broken a horse before, you can understand where Rob’s determination and patience for big waves comes from.
